Hi there
I just bought an Toshiba Satellite C855-1UT laptop and I installed ubuntu 12.10, but the wireless doesn't work. Does anyone knows where to find wireless driver for it?
Thanks
My Mom bought a laptop last year, it was a low end laptop. It's a Toshiba Satellite C650 I think.
I notice that once the laptop has been idle for awhile, the wireless internet disables, and I have to restart it to get it working again.
The laptop is set up the same as the rest of the computers, and non of the others have any problem with it.
Hi Gang,
I have an older Toshiba laptop - a Satellite Pro 6100 - that I've just converted to Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. Everything seems to work just find except the wireless 802.11 connection.
My wired connection is working just fine.
I enable wireless in the network connections menu and I see a list of the local wireless networks.
I am pulling my hair out trying to get wireless working .I have tries 9 10 11 12 and 2 versions of Puppy Linux. The first time I tried was with Linux Mint 11 and it prompted me to download the firmware installer and STA drivers for the Broadcom b43 .
Now I cannot even find a card at all . lspci does not help. Presently I am using Ubuntu 12.04.
I am at my wits end , please help.

Hi
I have recently installed Ubuntu 12.10 on my Toshiba Satellite L855D-100 laptop.
The wireless card is not recognized, and I have no idea where to start to get it working.
I have also tried to install Linux Mint, but have the same problem there.
Is wifi not supported on the L855D-100?
Hi Guys,
I have another laptop with no wireless connection for you to look at - I have done a heap of research but can't find anything that has helped for my specific problem.
I have a Toshiba Satellite L645 laptop. I installed Ubuntu 12.04 LTS alongside with Windows 7. At first, everything worked fine. But today my Ubuntu system has a problem. It detects every wireless network in the area except my own. I found that my wireless network is 'hidden', although I didn't do anything with its settings at all.
