Error while copying to "Kingston" (USB) The destination is read-only
I have been using this USB for 1 month with no problems but now it wont let me copy any file (large or small) into it ...
I right click and PERMISSIONS says ..."The permissions of "Kingston" could not be determined"
This started after I did some updates with the orange triangle at the top left
Some of my Mp3 files that I click and drag to the Mp3 player music folder aren't working. Some of the files work when i drag and drop, but a large number of them give this error message:
"Error while copying "file name here".
There was an error copying the file into gphoto2://[usb:001,010]music/"file name here"
We had a similar requirement when copying large amounts of data from USB drives to our servers (not MP3 players). With the file copy not happening in alphabetical order we found it difficult to tell how far the copying process had progressed.
Greetings all! I must say, it's been a pleasure using Ubuntu, but I've come across a interesting situation:
When I attempt to copy a picture named 2pfennigobverse from my Windows based PC to my Linux box, I get the following error message:
"Error Copying File or Folder
Cannot copy 2pfennigobverse. Access is denied.

my phone connects to my computer fine, but whenever I try to copy a file to the phone or SD card I'm getting an error saying, "Cannot copy item. The device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected." anyone know what I'm overlooking?
Forgetting the encryption (I've got that handled), I have tried Brasero, K3B, K9Copy and Handbrake and it seems they stop copying at the typical dvd size - 4.8gb. I have a DL drive and would like to be able to copy the entire movie. Instead, the copy either says it's complete but only 4.8gb is there, or it aborts with a read error at the same amount of data - even when going to an ISO.
