[ubuntu] can you add to video sources in 12.04

http://ubuntuforums.org – IS it possible to add more video sources or customize it yourself? The youtube one is very limited I just to search general youtube so I can get things up, it's a nice interface to use instead of a browser straight away I thought I would give it a try. Anyone found a way to do so? (Hardware)

youtube-dl is not working 33 weeks 5 days ago

I am using youtube-dl to download some videos from youtube. But when I write:

youtube-dl http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rn_YodiJO6k

I get:

[youtube] Setting language [youtube] rn_YodiJO6k: Downloading video webpage [youtube] rn_YodiJO6k: Downloading video info webpage [youtube] rn_YodiJO6k: Extracting video information

ERROR: unable to download video

What am I doing wrong?

I have Ubuntu 11.04 (natty).

I have read 'Screen goes blank when VLC is playing video' My question is similar, but also I have this problem when viewing a video on youtube.

I am not quite clear about the meaning of 'computer idle'. Is it considered idle only when the keyboard or mouse is not being used?

Hello, I have a problem with youtube (and also grooveshark). While i am playing a video on youtube (Listening music on grooveshark) and open another app or new tab on the browser it suddenly stops. Hello, I am not a video expert and all my video editing is limited to converting my videos to a YouTube optimised format before uploading onto the platform.At the moment I am using transcoder.

If you want to view a youtube video in full size, without all the other stuff from youtube surrounding the video, just do the following.

Using this URL about Amazon EC2 as an example:
