I've tried two mirrors us and de.They both failed. First question. Should old miniCDs netinstalls work? Second question: Why do ubuntu staff keep miniCD for downloading if they are useless? I tried 10.04 ,8.04.They both faield. Only latest LTS 12.04 works - installer can download components for netinstall If this is a ubuntu policy for netinstall - only the latest release (Hardware)

I'm trying to setup tboot on a dual E5-2600 server running Ubuntu 12.10 64 bit server and I am pretty lost. To me it looks like the way it currently works has changed and the documentation hasn't caught up yet (or at least what I've looked at).

I got tboot and TrouSerS install on the server.

Failed to download repository information, Check your internet connection.

Hi all, Today when i booted up Ubuntu it automatically loaded fire fox and tried to connect to a web page that in turn ended up dot being accessible. So I shut down fire fox and purged it's cookies. Now when I try to run back up all the buttons are grayed out. also I am unable to down load any up date files with the Ubuntu updater.

I have recently installed kubuntu. I am able to install softwares from muon software center. But when I try to do so from the terminal, I get errors.

hey i recently installed ubuntu 12.10 but the software center does not work i tried the sudo apt-get update because that worked when i was using ubuntu 11.04....

I have a ubuntu 12.04 server. Running sudo apt-get update on it produces errors like this:

W: Failed to fetch http://au.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/precise-backports/main/binary-... Something wicked happened resolving 'au.archive.ubuntu.com:http' (-5 - No address associated with hostname)

I am able to ping all the other hosts on the network and also Google's DNS 8.8.8.8.
