Hi everybody.
I ended up with some broken packages after installing updates.
When I do sudo apt-get -f install, I get the same error which is
Code:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Correcting dependencies...
Using 10.04 LTS.
This happens whenever I try to apt-get install anything. Example:
Code:
mihai@mihai-htpc:~$ sudo apt-get install jgraph
[sudo] password for mihai:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information...
I am seeing an error while running apt-get -f install. Can somebody help me out ..
venkat@ubuntu:~/Downloads$ sudo apt-get -f install
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Correcting dependencies...
Here's basically what I did to try and fix it:
alex@griever:~$ sudo apt-get install -f
[sudo] password for alex:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Correcting dependencies...

my daily apt-get has had this error, completely failing to update anything:
root@chopin~ Wed Feb 01,16:23:56# (5473) apt-get -y install Reading package lists...
Done
Building dependency tree... 50%
Building dependency tree
Reading state information...
I've encountered this problem and searched and tried many of the suggestions I've found to no avail. This occurs on Lucid, 2.6.32-39-generic.
For example, sudo apt-get autoremove gives:
Code:
sudo apt-get autoremove
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information...
Help I cannot fix this, going around in a circular mess!
$ sudo apt-get -f install
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Correcting dependencies...
Running Ubuntu 11.10, I tried to resolve unresolved dependencies using sudo apt-get -f install resulting in the following:
patrick@patrick-Aspire-5515:~$ sudo apt-get -f install
[sudo] password for patrick:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Correcting dependencies...
So, yeah. I'll just post this:
Code:
$ sudo apt-get install flashplugin-installer
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information...
