http://ubuntuforums.org – Hello, I'm trying to get an older Compaq laptop up and running with 12.04. I can't get the wireless card to work. I've tried several things in this post: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1748245&page=5 including post #44 without success. Most of the time, wireless networking doesn't even show up in the Networking menu up near the clock. Also read some of post http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1604868 I'm starting to worrry that I damaged the wireless card or the bios during the install of Ubuntu because the install cd hung when I tried to turn on the wifi switch. (Hardware)

Please help,- recently upgraded daughters Qimo to Ubuntu 12.04- i think. Wireless not working. Wireless required for her to do school work away from my office.

Hardware: BCM 4312 802.11b/g Broadcom and I have pci_14e4:4315

U all know where I might be able to download the appropriate driver and there so I can try to install it with NDIS? Just trouble shooting my wireless.

I'm having trouble getting my computer to recognise any bluetooth device, including my Wiimote and cell phone. I have a USB Bluetooth dongle that appears to be working. When I plug it in, I get the bluetooth symbol in my device tray.

I am getting one of these tablets off eBay and was wondering if Ubuntu would work on it. The post there says "Everything works great but cpu scaling and battery capacity" what does that mean? Will it be able to use both CPU Cores?
