I am trying Ubuntu on a trial basis to see if I think I could use it in place of Windows. One of the things I can do in Windows is connect my XP laptop thru a wireless access point which is connected by ethernet cable to my desktop, which is set to share its internet connection. The desktop connects to the internet by dialup.
I have been googeling and searching on how to do bridge my wifi connections to my internet connection using route.

With my home network, I am using wireless router that is connected to the internet, my headless server, and three other computers wirelessly. My goal is to add a second source of internet to the network by adding a wireless adapter to the server. In this network, the regular computers can not be used since they can't always be on/stable/in range.
I need to set up a small office network that will consist of the following:

1 desktop machine running Ubuntu desktop 12.04
I want all the windows 7 machines to be connected with ubuntu desktop, all i want is ubuntu desktop as a internet server, internet access will be directly coming to the ubuntu desktop and output lan to the router so user can access i
I just setup internet connection sharing with the network manager on my laptop with ubuntu 12.10 and a wireless internet connection on eth1, so that it is sharing the connection through eth0, an ethernet port.
It works, but the ip address given to the client (another ubuntu 12.10 machine) is 10.42.0.67.
How can I change this?
I have setup internet connection sharing manually before, with ip masque
I have an Ubuntu Server 12.04 connected to internet via adsl router with cable eth0.
The Ubuntu Server has the static ip 192.168.10.33
The adsl router (as DNS) has the ip 192.168.10.254 which i set as gateway in /etc/network/interfaces.
I want another Ubuntu (laptop), with ip 192.168.10.1 with wlan0 to connect to internet through the Ubuntu Server and not through the adsl router (which is easy)
