I installed a few new things on my laptop (salome and a fortran compiler so that I could set it up) and since then I cannot boot ubuntu normally.
When I turn on my laptop I am given the option of loading ubuntu, ubuntu from recovery, previous linux versions etc. ubuntu will show me the loading screen but then turn to black, which is also what happens when I try previous linux versions.
This problem just started. Upon starting my computer it justs seems to freeze during normal boot process. I have to hold the start button in to do a forced shut down then restart and go to F7. Then choose recovery mode Wherein I have several options, but I am not confidant enough to go any further than to go with the first option of resume normal boot.
I don't recall the last time I rebooted this machine, but it wasn't long ago and I don't think I made any many changes to it since then.
Okay, the problems with my computer are becoming unacceptable, and no one has even tried to help me with them yet. Hibernate works, sure. I STILL NEED TO BOOT FROM A USB BOOTABLE DRIVE, OR ELSE IT STILL WILL NOT BOOT!Now, I have an even worse problem!!! Almost every time I try to turn the computer on, right after it actually powers on, it will power off.
I cannot boot into Linux or Windows now.
I did the boot repair but every time I turn my computer on it goes to Windows then into recovery mode and I went through that and it still brings me back.
I can only get in Ubuntu through the live disc.
This is my paste:

============================= Boot Info Summ
I have installed ubuntu alongside windows 7 in a brand new computer and it worked fine for some days. Eventually, Windows showed some problems, but after a safety mode initialization it was working again. Then, Ubuntu cracked and I couldn't use it. After that, I have reinstalled Windows using the recovery CD and now I can't boot from the CD.
I have Ubuntu and Vista in a dual installation on my PC hard drive. This has worked well until today. When I try to boot Ubuntu it starts to boot then I get a grey screen with Dell repeated 8 times across the top(my PC is a dell Vostro 200). My curser disappears so there is no way to move on.
Mythbuntu 12.04 - I attempted to move one data drive to a different sata port, now the system doesn't boot (all drives are back to the original sata ports).
I ran boot-repair (using 12.04 live CD, ran the recommended repair) No change, the system doesn't boot.
I can boot the system off a rescue CD, choosing to boot off the correct boot drive.
I tried to install ubuntu server 12.04 on the AMD A75(with APU A4 3300) platform.
The install process was smooth, but when the system is booted the display has no signal after grub screen.The system is not dead because the numlock still works.If I choose recovery mode in grub list then choose resume normal boot i can enter the system and everything seems fine.
So I think it is something wrong wi
