I have installed Blender 2.65a from its official site but unable to activate the console for python. Unable to run in terminal since not installed from Ubuntu Software Center because it is Five versions back.
However, tried to drag the executable blender file to the terminal, Blender opened but without the console.
Hello folks I hope someone here can help me. I have been using Linux Mint for a little over 2 years now and have gotten used to it. However because of some kernel and compatibility problems I had to install Xubuntu 11.10.

Hi guys,

I'm try to install blender in my Xen guest (Debian Wheezy), and when I try to start the render blender file via command line, the console shows this:
$blender -b CarPark.blend
AL lib: UpdateDeviceParams: Failed to set 44100hz, got 48000hz instead
read blend: /mnt/shared/drqueue/tmp/CarPark.blend
AL lib: ALSAProc: Wait timeout...
I installed blender from the repository. However, I can't seem to find the Blender module from python. I am not sure if it is a PYTHONPATH issue or some installation issue.
Thanks.
