The USBmount Debian package automatically mounts USB mass storage devices (typically USB pens) when they are plugged in, and unmounts them when they are removed.

I am quite new to Fedora.
[What I am trying to do]
On Fedora 16 (Gnome 3), I am trying to mount network drives at boot automatically.
Hi all,
Hello all, I'm having trouble getting a partition to mount with rw permissions for all users (though, there is only me). There are two partitions that I want mounting on boot, the first is a ntfs which mounts ok with full rw permissions.
I am running Ubuntu Hardy 8.04 on a Sony PIII laptop. I have a Simpletech 250GB USB hard drive that I use for backups and a few other things. It is formatted as Fat32 so that I can use it in several platforms. The drive does not automount at boot or when connected to the system. It is automatically mounted by all my other systems, including Win2K on the same laptop.
I have ntfs-3g installed, and use this udev rule to auto mount external drives automatically. When I try umount it as non-root, it says:
umount: /media/umm is not in the fstab (and you are not root)
The device mounts as:
/dev/sdc1 fuseblk 150G 143G 6.6G 96% /media/umm
and is part of the users group.
My fstab configuration has always worked, but recently (and somewhat out of the blue,) my Ubuntu has started to attempt to mount my usb hard-drive twice.
The error is
Unable to mount cloud
Error mounting: mount exited with exit code 1: helper failed with:
mount: according to mtab, /dev/sde1 is already mounted on /media/cloud
mount failed
Where 'Cloud' is the name of my usb hard-drive.
