Hi Guys,
Trying to map ALL of my buttons for Asus P7131 Hybrid TV Remote
Lirc buttons don't all work...
I did this so far:
Code:
lsinput
/dev/input/event6
bustype : BUS_PCI
vendor : 0x1043
product : 0x4876
version : 1
name : "saa7134 IR (ASUSTeK P7131 Hybri"
phys : "pci-0000:05:00.0/ir0"
bits ev : EV_SYN EV_KEY EV_REP
Code:
input-events -g -t5 6
I have installed lirc, and I want to use irexec to control my music player daemon (mpd) using mpc commands from my mce remote control. Works fine, except for one thing:
If I want to edit the /etc/lirc/lircrc file to map the remote control buttons to commands, I need to reboot in order to read in and use the edited lircrc button/command definition file.
I have Pinnacle's Analog TV PCI card with remote (IR) controller. I want to use this remote controller to control XBMC.
I've read that I need LIRC daemon so I installed it (sudo apt-get install lirc) and selected Pinnacle Systems PCTV (pro) reciever as Remote control configuration (during LIRC setup). For IR transmitter I selected none (AFAIK I don't have it).
I am trying to configure my remote. The good news, is that it "Just worked". Meaning: I plugged it in, ran the gnome-lirc-properties and now I can control some parts of my desktop with it.
It seems, though, that it is not lirc handling it. I have killed lircd.
I'm trying to get mythtv running on a macbook (2nd gen) and have got to the point where most things are working. But I am struggling with the IR Receiver and a non-apple remote control.
I'm trying to use the remote Humax RS-101P for my laptop HP nx9010 to build a media center; the on board hardware should be ALI FIR 5123 (windows xp says), it works under windows for file transfer, never tried with a remote control. I have installed Jaunty, lirc setserial, this is the log:
Code:
luca@Hyppo:~$ dmesg | grep lirc
I've spent the last three hours trying to comprehend all of the info at lirc.org. I've recently bought a used dv6000, which came with a remote. After getting used to Yum and getting everything working, I went after the remote.
So I just purchased a new IR Remote control to use with my HTPC recently and im having a really weird problem. I received my remote and proceeded to connect the usb IR Receiver to my HTPC, put batteries in the remote and pressed the power button to see if the remote worked out-of-box with my HTPC but somehow the remote is controlling my laptop??
I am trying to get a remote controller running on my slack64 13.1 machine and need some guidance. I know the computer sees the remote because of the steps below. I also understand I need to put a config file in the /etc/lirc folder.
The remote controller is Dell RC1974009/00 (Dell MR268) with USB receiver and as far as I know, is built by Philips.
