Hello all,
I got a LG R510 laptop with F17 in it. It is a stock install, yet it seems it cannot go in standby and wake up from it. WhenI accidentally close its lid, I'm good for a forced restart.
Is there a compatibility list somewhere?
How do I correct this bad behavior that is reminiscent of 2005?
I have been trying to setup wakeonlan on my desktop which uses an Asus M3N72-D and is running Kubuntu 12.04 x86_64. I believe I have setup the bios correctly. I have enabled PME. I didn't find any other setting that mentioned wake on lan except EuP which I have disabled (it turns off WOL in the S5 state). In my rc.config put:
sudo ethtool -s eth0 wol g
but that hasn't resolved the problem.
Hello,
With Oneiric, I'm unable to wake up from standby mode on my desktop computer. When I ask Ubuntu to go into standby mode, it takes 1-2 seconds to do so. When I power on the computer again, I can see the leds of my screen, my SSD, and keyboard (numlock) lighting again, but that's about it.
anyone experience Xperia V cannot wake up or hang in standby?
it happens at nite after i sleep. but when i wake up, i press the power button several times but the screen doesnt on. notification light is working and blinking.
only way is to remove battery. its been happening everyday. even alarm is not working. checked my backup(sms, call log), it didnt backup. :crying:
I want to control what turns off and what stays on when I put my computer on standby. How can I do this?
For example, I can wake it up again by pressing any key, but I would rather save the power that they keyboard is using; I want to turn off the keyboard when it's on standby. I would also like to make sure that this applies, to any drives, sound card, etc...
Hey guys, I have had this problem for the last four days on both of my machines. Searching has turned up nothing. When I walk away from my computers, DPMS is enabled and the monitors go into standby.
I recently removed one display from a dual head display setup.
Everything works fine, but after I wake up from standby the picture seems to be shifted to the left (were my second display was) about the width of the removed display.
I'm hoping I can get some help setting up my computer to start automatically and shut itself down automatically.
Hi guys
I'm trying to setup WOL on my Ubuntu server, but i'm having a few problems.
I installed ethtool and set my Wake-on to g with this
sudo ethtool -s eth0 wol g
Here is my settings
Supports wake-on: pumbg
Wake-on: g
Here is my problem. If i shutdown my computer it reboots immediately.
