I'm using the Ubuntu NBR 9.10 RC on the Asus 1000HE and absolutely love it.
I have one gripe though. Previously when I would tap the touchpad with two fingers this would act like the middle button of a mouse being clicked (extremely handy opening new tabs in firefox, etc) and tapping with three fingers behaved like right-click.
I installed fedora 11 on my 1000he netbook and I have a question for those who have fedora on an eeepc. I find the fonts in Firefox difficult to read, for example it seem when I view web forums the text is not clear and difficult to read. I have tried some of the different font settings in the system/appearance settings but I could not fix the problem yet.
Hi all, I'm new to LQ and look forward to becoming a part of the community. Slackware brought me here, so I'll be frequenting that forum; I've also used Ubuntu/Mint, Arch, Scientific/CentOS, and again Arch, roughly in that order.
It's been 5 years since I started using GNU/Linux, and I'm still surprised that it's gone by so quickly.
On my EeePC 1000HE ASUS netbook, I've had a strange issue lately. A couple of weeks ago, I noticed it had disconnected from the wifi, and could see no networks, so I thought I'd try and disable and reenable it in case that jolted it. I never got a chance to reenable it; the adapter was quite gone. I rebooted, and it stayed gone. I was running Lubuntu 13.10 at the time.
