Ever since I have upgraded my Asus Eee PC 1000HE from Lucid 10.04 to Precise 12.04 I have been having issues with my wireless connections.
At first I had wireless dropouts: I would be able to start using wireless, but then after a few minutes the wireless would stop working even though I was still connected to the network.
Hi guys,
I'm using the Ubuntu NBR 9.10 RC on the Asus 1000HE and absolutely love it.
I have one gripe though. Previously when I would tap the touchpad with two fingers this would act like the middle button of a mouse being clicked (extremely handy opening new tabs in firefox, etc) and tapping with three fingers behaved like right-click.
Hi,
I decided it was time (after spending some on a virtual machine ) to install ubuntu on an old asus eeepc 1000he. ( I installed ubuntu 10.04 LTS 2.6.32-37-generic i686)

Hey, I've been beating my head against a wall, it seems, trying to figure this out. My ninjoogle skills have been taxed to the limit with minimal if any headway.
I have a 1000HE and Ubuntu Lucid. I want my SHE to overclock.
I have installed Jupiter which will change my processor speed between Max 1.66, Preformance 1.33, and powersave 1.0.
Hello,
I have installed regular Ubuntu 9.10 on a Asus Eee PC 1000HE.
Concerning the touch-pad, the two fingers for scrolling works fine but the three fingers for right click does not. Does anyone know how to make it work?
I installed fedora 11 on my 1000he netbook and I have a question for those who have fedora on an eeepc. I find the fonts in Firefox difficult to read, for example it seem when I view web forums the text is not clear and difficult to read. I have tried some of the different font settings in the system/appearance settings but I could not fix the problem yet.

I am using an EEE 1000HE with CrunchBang 10 and I was experiencing the same probloms as you. This seems to have fixed it. Fingers crossed that this fix will hold! Thank you!
I've been looking at the Asus EeePC line recently, nifty little things they are. What are your recommendations for them? For instance, between the 1000HE and the 1005HA, which do you feel is best?I'll be using the computer for homework, web browsing and text editing, with a definite need for the computer to perform well when viewing videos.
