I did a BIOS update on my Dell Studio XPS 13 laptop and now for some reason whenever I try to use the arrow keys (up, down, left, right) all they do is bring up VLC. All the other keys on the keyboard work fine, including my multimedia keys.
Does anyone have any idea how I might change this or even look at the configuration for the arrow keys?
Thanks!
Hi,
I am having several small issues using No Machine.
First I have installed No Machine server 3.5 on Fedora 17 x86_x64
I am usually using KDE on that workstation.
I have connected locally and from a Windows client to the No Machine server and created a KDE session.
I have been using Ubuntu 12.04 for about a month now,
and enjoy it immensely.
However, when playing flash based games in firefox,
I am having a problem with the arrow keys.
A key will act like it is still being held down after I have released the key.
It seems to happen when the opposite direction key is hit while holding down a key -
i.e.
I, being rather noobish at things like this, ask for assistance in getting my arrow keys to work again...
I'm runnning 11.04 in the classic environment (bout all my gpu can take). I took a look at the preferred applications to change web browsers, and sneaked a peek at the other things available.
I saw that the multimedia's custom option's command was set to banshee.
I am dual booting so have a choice of operating systems in the Grub menu.
I have a laptop with the newest Ubuntu-version (12.04). I want to use the FN-Keys to adjust the brightness of my screen, but it doesnt work. Normally it should be FN+left arrow/right arrow.
My mouse is not working properly, So I enabled keyboard keys for Moving mouse arrow using
Universal Access > Pointing and Clicking > Mouse keys "On"
But Mouse Arrow moves very Slow using keyboard Keys. I want to move it in normal way as I move mouse, using keyboard keys(Numlock keys 2,4,6,8). How to solve this ?
Through the several tutorials and tips and tricks site about Vim, I think I happened to read that one can reassign a combination of keys in Vim.
I would have loved to switch between vim tabs more easily and quicker that typing :tabn or :tabp each time.
For the moment Ctrl + Left or Right arrow, makes me switch from command mode to insert mode, and pastes the character c or d according the arrow
Hello, when I pressed the up or down arrow key, A] and B] show up respectively instead of the cursor moving up or down. Could you please tell me how to fix this issue? Thank you.
