Ubuntu Arch Dual boot

My Arch is up-to-date and yes, I can play mp3 in VLC, the only other player I have.

I dual boot my Arch with Ubuntu and I have not installed Grub from Arch. Ubuntu-Grub handles my boots. I have just set Arch as my default boot.

I have just installed Arch_amd64 and I am using GNOME as my DE. I get to the gdm login screen and I login.. However, for desktop I get the striped wallpaper and nothing else... mouse works and keyboard too (alt+ctrl+del).
