Gaming on Linux is getting more interesting by the day. Valve has updated its Steam December Survey to include Linux statistics. This is Valve’s first month with Linux and even though the Steam for Linux system is still in a beta stage, Linux users already account for 0.8% of total Steam users.
Valve publishes every month a software and hardware survey that show details about the Steam for Linux users, and the April results are worrying.Just like the previous month, the number of Steam for Linux users has decreased again, reaching a “whooping” 1.56%.The best placed distribution in the Steam Hardware Survey is Ubuntu 12.10 64 bit, followed by Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS 64 bit, Ubuntu
