I have a HP Pavilion DV6t Quad Custom Edition, from mid 2011. I was looking around online and came to the conclusion that there are not any backlit keyboard options for this laptop. What I wanted to no was if there was a way to buy a backlit keyboard from a similar Pavilion laptop and then rig that to work with my laptop. Anyone try anything like this before?
I have a dell vostro 3650 running newest Ubuntu install. I read this laptop has a backlit keyboard. I've researched how to turn it on with no luck. I've tried hitting the Fn F6 keys and the Fn right arrow key.
Is it possible to get a Gazelle Professional laptop with a backlit keyboard? I work in a darkened environment, and it would be most helpful. Also, if it is not possible, does anyone know of a well crafted modification to achieve this function?
I have a macbook pro and am running Ubuntu 12.04. Every time I turn on my computer the backlit keyboard turns to the maximum automatically and I have to lower it to zero. This is not a big deal, but it is annoying... Anyone know how to configure ubuntu to not turn on the backlit keyboard when the computer turns on?
I have an HP Folio 13-1029WM which has an i3 1.4ghz processor, 4gb ram, 128gb ssd, backlit keyboard, and Windows7.
Windows 8 runs VERY well on this and it probably has the best touchpad I've used on a notebook. Minor scratches on the aluminum lid, nothing to get your panties in a bunch over though. Has been a great laptop for the few times I've used it. Thin and extremely light weight.
After I updated latest Ubuntu 14.04 update, My Laptop's keyboard started act funny.
Almost half of the letters are typing numbers instead For Example (p=* o=6 I=5 k=2)
The strange thing is that when I connect wireless keyboard it works great.
I thought it is a hardware defect but when I used live usb to start ubuntu the laptop keyboard was working good.
