Hello all,
I successfully installed the rt3572STA driver for my Linksys AE1000 (after editing the files, etc, etc.). I can view networks without a problem, but when I try connect to my home network, it continuously asks for my password.
Last night, I was able to connect to my router for the first time after a week of hassle.
I have a Belkin Wireless USB adapter. In Windows 7 I had no problems to detect the hardware. Yesterday I installed Ubuntu 11.10 and I put the USB; detects the network but when trying to connect Ubuntu ask me for the password, I put it on, and he tries a few minutes trying to connect. After those few minutes Ubuntu again ask for the password, and so eternally.
Hi,I just got a TL-WN725N. It is true that you have a kernel driver but in my case I couldn't make it work. When plug it in, the kernel detected and loaded the module rtl8192cu, but when trying to scan the available networks, it show only a couple (and sometimes none) of the available ones.
I have installed Ubuntu 10.10 Netbook Ed. on my hp mini 110-1058TU and install a Wifi driver (Broadcom b43) successfully.
But I encounter a problem on connection with some AP:
1. Connect to Linksys WRT54G (WEP) - Good
2. Connect to Buffalo WCCR-G54 (WEP) - Cannot
3. Connect to Cisco AP-1311 (WPA2) - Cannot
Does anyone have the same issue and how can fix it? Thanks.

Hi I just deleted my windows XP and installed Ubuntu 9.10 earlier this morning. I used wired connection to get drivers for my wireless network card.
When I did lspci, the very last line states:
Network Controller: Broadcom Coporation BCM4311 902.11b/g WLAN(rev 01)
I am completely new to CrunchBang and after installing it i was disappointed to find that i cannot connect to the internet, i have no idea where to start and what to do, it is installed on a desktop so it is hard to move to a wired connection! What should i do?i have looked at the website and previous questions and answers but they don't answer my question.
Hello,
I recently had my AE 1000 linksys wireless adapter driver installed, the info for which can be found here:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1630358
But today I was presented with 142 automatic updates already downloaded waiting to be installed on my computer. I installed the updates and restarted my computer for the updates to take effect.
