Laptop gets the Internet through wifi. I'm trying to plug a router to the laptop to create a new wifi network. Laptop would bridge.
Internet via Wifi disconnects when I connet ethernet cable to connect a ethernet device?Wifi is configured for DHCP and connected with internet - works okay.
If I connect ethernet cable with computer card, static IP configured to connects an ethernet device, it stops internet access. I remove cable insternet start working again.
I am setting up this on Latitude D830.
I have a computer that is connected to the internet via wifi. I then have a ethernet cable coming out from my wifi computer into another computer which has no wifi or place to plug into ethernet.
I have shared the wifi connection to the LAN port, and the computer successfully gets internet. But, on that computer I have a FTP server that I want the wifi network to be able to connect to.
When I'm using Wifi to connect to the internet and connect a network cable I lose the current internet connection bu the WIFI indicator is still marking I'm connected but I can't navigate.
How can I keep to active connections?

Well.. here it is:Two machines connected with each other through router. Desktop uses cable, laptop is wifi (intel wifilink 1000 b/g/n). Both have Statler, absolutely same network prefs. I use gftp to exchange files between the machines. Now is the main part - transfer speed desktop-laptop is 5.5MB/s, laptop-desktop is 3.6MB/s. BTW, while desktop allows download and upload, laptop only downloads.

I'm using a WiFi connection on Ubuntu 12 and connecting to XP directly via Ethernet cable. I've set the ipv4 settings of the Ubuntu wired connection to:
share with other computers
and restarted. If the network cable is plugged in WiFi disables. Is this problem on the XP side? IP is set to automatically obtain etc. I'm only looking to share the internet access. Thanks.
My laptop is connected to internet through a crossover cable (DHCP) and I want to share this connection with my HTC tattoo through wifi (my laptop has wifi, no need for router). Is this thing possible ?
I installed dnsmasq and created a wireless connection from network manager, but my phone doesn't find this connection, why?
Thanks
I was convinced, that AirDroid is useful only for Samsung devices When you have Android phone with wifi (and your PC, too), there is one more Android apps useful to exploring your Android's phone on PC. It's Remote Desktop. You have to install Remote Desktop on your phone. After that you can connect to all kind of computer with WIFI.
