New install of 12.04.1 and the user established during install cannot login.
I was able to create an new user by entering the system as guest. Ubuntu accepted the sudo password of the first user to establish the new user; but I cannot login as the user established during install. The newly created user does have admin permission and I can login using that user and do sudo stuff.
I've just installed 11.10, and am using Gnome shell.
I'm sorry if I ask in the wrong forum. I'm not sure it is actually a networking problem, but I haven't found a proper forum for my question so far.
I setup a vpn connection for a pc in a store to the office. It works fine.
I've setup an Amazon EC2 Instance, using the Ubuntu 12.04 AMI (ubuntu/images/ebs/ubuntu-precise-12.04-amd64-server-20120424 (ami-a29943cb)), and I'd like to get Webmin working (so I can setup a DNS).

Hello
I have just installed Ubuntu 11.10 DVD ISO (the latest stable version I believe) and boot from by USB stick.
It has been working OK (except for odd crashes - such as "gnome-control-panel" has crashed on the user account screen).
I booted up this morning, and I was presented with a login screen, with a box saying "Other...".
I'm trying to login to another server using an RSA key. But I've got a problem with this. Don't know if what I'm trying to do is wrong, but I want to understand it better.
I have correctly setup the RSA key.
Every time I log in into Ubuntu a window comes titled "Unlock Login Keyring" and asks for some password. The problem is when I enter my password it doesn't accepts it.
What is login keyring?
If it isn't asking about my user account password then which password is it asking about?
I don't want to come it everytime I login. How do I make it go away?
Hi,
The below issue is killing my time very often, it would be more helpful if you solve this!!
I installed Ubuntu(Version 10.04) through virtual machine(VMware Palayer) in my PC. After the successful installation, my ubuntu was working fine atleast for a day.
System: Acer Aspire 5755-6699 dual booting Ubuntu 12.04 LTS / Windows 7.
When I use password protected wifi at home, both Ubuntu and Windows connect automatically and either one will allow me to surf the Web.

When I'm at the mall using free wifi:
+ WINDOWS 7 connects. When I start a browser the welcome document (the one you agree to terms of use on) comes up.
