http://ubuntuforums.org – Just upgraded from 9.04 to 9.10 because I was having many issues with 9.04 and read several forum posts suggesting some of them would be fixed with 9.10. They were...however when trying to print off my first PDF file (via Evince Document Viewer) on either one of my 2 printers, it took forever. Literally over 8 minutes when it did finally print and even then, it was not via Evince. Tried first on an HP printer and never did print. Next, tried on a Xerox and received the following error message: SPL-C ERROR - including corrupted Data Position: 0x7a832 (501810) System: src/xl_image Line: 531 Version: SPL-C 5.24 06-28-2006 I have no idea what that means and as a hobbyist and user, don't believe I should. However, then opened up the PDF file in Adobe Reader. As stated above after 8 minutes on the Xerox printer, the file finally printed. File size was 1.5MB so not that big. Both printers print test pages literally within seconds so they are both working fine. Sincerely hope that this is not a major issue but wonder if anyone else has the same issue. VERSION: 9.10 in dual boot PC with Windows XP. (Hardware)
