http://ubuntuforums.org – My bluetooth mouse (Dell BT Mouse) was working fine in Ubuntu after installing the OS. I just followed the gui prompts to connect it. Then, after some time (right around the time I paired the same mouse with the windows OS installed on the same machine), the BT mouse stopped working. I tried again and again to pair it and it failed. After trying somebody else's guide using bluez-util, simply went to System\Preferences\Bluetooth and found the mouse under "Known Devices". After removing it, I was able to easily use the bluetooth GUI (that appears on the top panel in Gnome) to add my mouse again and it works perfectly. (Hardware)

Hi, I have a bluetooth dongle to get my bluetooth working in gnome shell. I can connect my magic mouse and it works perfectly, but I have to use another mouse to go to the bluetooth applet, scroll down to the mouse, and hit connect every time I start up. Is there any way to tell it to connect automatically?

I have a Dell Studio 1715 laptop, which comes with bluetooth, webcam, fingerprint reader, everything. I enjoyed ubuntu a lot in this laptop.... until I met this problem.

I bought a bluetooth laser mouse, which didn't work for me before. Can't remember the brand... now it happens all over again with a brand new mouse, so it can't be the mouse itself.

I have a microsoft 5000 bluetooth mouse. After some time, i got it to pair with my laptop (Ubuntu 12.04 64). BUT the pointer doesn't move and the buttons work only marginally. The mouse is a laser mouse so it should work well on any surface- this one isn't working at all..

Is there something I'm missing? Has anyone else had this problem? did I really get the one bad mouse of the bunch??

I'm running Jaunty with bluez 4.32 on an Asus A8JS notebook. Every time I connect my Targus AMB02US bluetooth mouse, it takes about 5 seconds between pressing a mouse button and the moment the pointer starts responding to mouse movements. It doesn't matter if it's the first connection after system boot or if I'm bringing the mouse out of sleep mode.

I have a galaxy note 2 and am thrilled with it!. I have been using a chunky Bluetooth keyboard and mouse,usually used on my PC.

I am using Ubuntu 10.04 on a laptop with a Synaptics touchpad. While testing an install of Bluetooth drivers I booted my computer into recovery mode so I could find out if Bluetooth worked before networking was installed. The system reconfigured the graphics to low VGA which disabled the mouse. I rebooted (normal startup) uninstalled the bluetooth drivers, but my mouse still won't work.

Hi I've just installed 13.04 on my machine (but had the same problem with 12.10). The machine is a 2012 imac 21".

When I go to bluetooth settings, the system detects my magic mouse. It will allow me to input '0000' as the passkey and thinks its paired successfully.
