I have run into a situation that requires a new design. The problem is with the trim indicator on a boat's outdrive. A sliding resistor type of sensor is coupled to a cockpit indicator showing the degree of drive tilt. Over time, all the wiring to this device and associated wiring in the boat is showing degradation; electrolysis, I suspect, is the problem.
I've been working on this side project and have been hung up on this part of it for a while. I'm trying to separate as much of the code related to the boat imageview into the boat class as possible. I'm not getting any errors and everything looks right to me, but the app keeps crashing when i try to run it.
Average boat owners only use their vessel 14 days a year. That’s why Boatbound is brilliant. It’s a peer-to-peer boat-renting startup that lets you book everything from kayaks to catamarans to yachts for a day at a time with a $1 million Lloyd’s insurance plan.
We optimize the User Interfaces, and integrate the Floating widget, Quick Settings, Gestures and other new elements to tablet version. More advanced features are also packed in this version. It is originated from Boat Browser mobile version, but with brand new UI and features design.
I am building a system for my boat. It will run either xubuntu or gentoo. I can't have a ups as the computer will be running off the boat's 12v battery which is charged by solar panels. I would like some sugestions as to how to configure the system to make it reliable in the very likely event of a power failure or brownout.
I was wondering if anyone here knows of a DIY +3volt, 1A output circuit? I have made regulator circuits with the LM7805 and the LM7806 BUT I was asked by a R.C boat club member if one in +3volts exists, it would be connected to the main battery: 12v upto 24v.
I tried ebay and No Luck for the Transistor. This circuit has to be small because of limited boat hull space.
