http://ubuntuforums.org – Hello all, I recently installed a 2TB disk to handle large files. It is mounted as /media/Data. When checking the properties of the disk it says there is still 1.7TB free. The problem: I want to extract a 1.9GB file that is on the disk. During extraction I get an error saying I do not have enough space. If I check this with the disk usage analyzer, indeed the root is completely full. However, below is what I get from typing df in the terminal: Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on /dev/sda6 49G 41G 5.3G 89% / udev 5.9G 12K 5.9G 1% /dev tmpfs 2.4G 840K 2.4G 1% /run none 5.9G 76K 5 (Hardware)
