I have all the updated Firefox and Jack libs. I don't understand why when running jack, firefox locks up continually, doesn't want to open pages, and flashplayer either won't play or will freeze everything? I run jack a lot, and I search and use the web a lot, see, I have this thing called email that needs checking, and I can't quit Jack just to check email or look something up.
Hi frinds !
I m a newcomer in Linux world.
I have just installed Ubuntu 13.04.
On some website I read about Firefox20. So I want to upgrade my firefox. But in help there is
one step in that I have to move firefox directory ( which actually came after extracting file firefox-21.ob7.tar.bz2)
to /opt folder.
What happen was I downloaded the Wubi Ubuntu on my windows computer. The next thing you know my computer wont boot up. What I did was (with amazing help on this forum) Burn a CD (create Disk Image), boot from it, get to the desktop by 'Try Ubuntu'.
Everything is there except my firefox favorites. For 99.9 percent of people favorites mean nothing. But to me they were SUPER important.
When I tried to copy the profile folder over to F19 and pointed profiles.ini to it, Thuderbird froze forever while 'Updating plugins' and I had to kill the process.
Then I tried to copy the files from the new Thuderbird 24's profile to the old profile and it seemed to work - I got email accounts working, but!
Well I have a home server where I host my apps, database and emails. It's beginning to be sort of not enough so I'm going for a hosting plan online. The thing is I don't know if I should move the whole thing or move parts of it.
