I have all the updated Firefox and Jack libs. I don't understand why when running jack, firefox locks up continually, doesn't want to open pages, and flashplayer either won't play or will freeze everything? I run jack a lot, and I search and use the web a lot, see, I have this thing called email that needs checking, and I can't quit Jack just to check email or look something up.
Hi frinds !
I m a newcomer in Linux world.
I have just installed Ubuntu 13.04.
On some website I read about Firefox20. So I want to upgrade my firefox. But in help there is
one step in that I have to move firefox directory ( which actually came after extracting file firefox-21.ob7.tar.bz2)
to /opt folder.
When I try to log on to my office365 email account via https://portal.microsoftonline.com/ I get an error message:
Server not found: Firefox can't find the server at outlook.office365.com.
Firefox running on Ubuntu 12.04 didn't have this problem yesterday.
I can still access the server from my windows machines.
Any suggestions - I would really like to access this school email account from
What happen was I downloaded the Wubi Ubuntu on my windows computer. The next thing you know my computer wont boot up. What I did was (with amazing help on this forum) Burn a CD (create Disk Image), boot from it, get to the desktop by 'Try Ubuntu'.
Everything is there except my firefox favorites. For 99.9 percent of people favorites mean nothing. But to me they were SUPER important.
What is the difference between using an email server and Thunderbird? I have a server set up with a new copy of Ubuntu. I am now setting it up to sync Firefox bookmarks, etc. It is also going to be my print/fax server as well as my backup drive and file server for my home. I am now wondering, is there any benefit in making it an email server?
When I tried to copy the profile folder over to F19 and pointed profiles.ini to it, Thuderbird froze forever while 'Updating plugins' and I had to kill the process.
Then I tried to copy the files from the new Thuderbird 24's profile to the old profile and it seemed to work - I got email accounts working, but!
