Ubuntu 12.10 boot fails (/ on LVM)

http://askubuntu.com – After installing Ubuntu 12.10 I cannot boot my machine anymore. I get the following error. Gave up waiting for root device. Common problems: - Boot args (cat /proc/cmdline) - Check rootdelay= (did the system wait long enough?) - Check root= (did the system wait for the right device?) - Missing modules (cat /proc/modules; ls /dev) ALERT! /dev/mapper/isw_cjchifbged_Volume0p6 does not exist. Dropping to a shell! I installed Ubuntu 12.10 on a system that has Windows 7 and Intel rapid start (win swap partition) on it. The hard disk is a fakeraid0, which is understood by the live cd.
