Ubuntu 12.10, code named as Quantal Quetzal, is set to release on oct 18, 2012. The final beta version (2) is already released.
As you know – Ubuntu 11.10 beta 1 released, with a lot of improvements e.g it’s lighter && faster than it’s previous version (I mean – Ubuntu 11.04 – Natty Narwhal) and changes. Now it’s time for a quick preview, basically a screenshot tour for some of its exciting/cool features or improvements.
Ubuntu 12.10 has released with lots of new exciting features, but most users didn’t welcome the one feature which – integrates the amazon products in Unity dash serch results.
So, if you’ve installed Ubuntu 12.10 (Quantal Quetzal) and hates this amazon results in Dash search, then you should know that it can be easily disabled from System Settings -> Privacy -> Include On
In the upcoming version of Ubuntu – 12.10 (final is coming on oct 18th, 2012), when you do a default search in Unity dashboard, it also returns amazon products in results, along with some expected normal results.

Ubuntu 11.10 – code named as Oneiric Ocelot, beta vs 1 has released today!, the second beta will be available in the end of sep 2011, while OCT 13 has been set for final/stable release.
Unity is the default desktop in Ubuntu 11.10 (current stable version) or 12.04 LTS (upcoming, although beta 1 has released), so if you’re a new Ubuntu users and want to tweak some default settings (e.g fonts, icons, themes, behavior, launcher etc) of Unity Desktop, then try the Application called – MyUnity, very similar to what Gnome Tweak Tool does for Gnome Shell interface.

Ubuntu 12.10 (code name: ‘Quantal Quetzal’) stable is out! the ISO (~800MB, for USB/DVD) is available for download. It’s the second major release this year, followed by Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin).
