http://www.oneopensource.it – XBMC è un famoso software che ci permette di trasformare una grande quantità di dispositivi in media center, totalmente open source il programma è entrato nei cuori e nei pc di moltissimi utenti. XBMC è un programma multipiattaforma, disponibile per GNU/Linux, MacOSX, Windows, Android e Apple TV (in origine era il media player predefinito della console Xbox), capace di riprodurre un quantità molto vasta di formati audio/video differenti, tra i quali: MPEG-1/2/4, DivX, XviD, H.264, RealMedia, QuickTime. Ovviamente è possibile anche riprodurre una grande quantità di formati musicali (Software)

Hello all! Recently my dad has bought a fancy lcd tv, so I'm looking for a media center app. I wanted to try Boxee, but I cannot find it neither in repos neither a download link :( Next going XBMC.. What's the difference between xbmc, xbmc live and xbmc standalone? Does xbmc has web browser to watch movies online?

Il team di XBMC è felice di annunciare il rilascio della nuova stable release, la 12.0 nome in codice Frodo. La nuova versione porta con se tante novità, oltre al grande lavoro di bugfixing e di miglioramento delle prestazioni. In XBMC 12.0 troviamo il supporto ufficiale ad Android con i pacchetti .apk disponibili direttamente dal sito ufficiale (presto arriverà anche sul Play Store).
