When I use chrome, firefox or other browsers to browse the web, Ubuntu crashes often. Mouse and keyboard don't work anymore, so I have no choice but to restart.
My notebook is an Acer s3-391.
After having searched for a solution for my problem on many forums,
I'm still unable to help my Shockwave Flash 11.2 r202 in Firefox 14.0.1 crashing all the time when I try to watch a video, e.g. on vimeo, but only on mouse movement or keystroke on the keyboard.
After reloading the site, the video loads ok and I am able to start the playback, but moving the mouse, e.g.
Thought id post this as I have tried many times to install 13.04 but it crashes. I tried again with the daily build and it still crashes. It loads however if I turn off APCI=OFF however then I dont have use of the mouse or keyboard.
Since about 2 to 3 weeks ago, my Ubuntu 13.04 desktop frequently freezes after I am using Chrome for a while. The mouse is movable, but nothing respond to mouse or keyboard. I have to push the power button to shut down the machine and restart it. Sometimes, the symptoms are not complete freezing, but all files become read-only, which makes nothing works. All Chrome tabs shows error message.
Okay I know this is probably going to be difficult to answer so I'm hoping somebody as seen this. I'm running Fedora 16 64-bit using KDE. Firefox 11 and 12 crash frequently, about every minute to two minutes. Even if I'm not using it and it's just open, it crashes. I uninstalled it and deleted all profile data for it, reinstalled, and it still does it.
