Hi
I installed compiz-settings-manager and checked the Legacy FullScreen Support option on Unity and it works perfectly for playing games that you play in windowed mode but want the use full screen and gets rid of the top panel bar and so on.
Hello,
I am running F19, and everytime I put a flash video or a game like TF2 or CS:S full screen while GNOME 3.8 is in Classic mode, a grey bar is always at the bottom of the screen. It is the bar at the bottom of the screen you can open that shows notifications in Classic mode. How do I make this stop, and have the bar go behind the full screen application.
First off, sorry if this has been asked before. My search-foo is a little weak it seems.
Whenever I bring a game to Full screen mode from Window mode I have a rather noticeable drop in performance.
Launcher is great, and it helps me finds stuff. I have the latest release of 12.
But when I'm full screen in VirtualBox running another operating system and I hit some key combination I haven't yet figured out, Unity suddenly grabs keyboard focus. It might be alt-tab, it might be left-control x.
If I set a shortcut to 'toggle fullscreen mode' in settings->keyboard->shortcuts->windows->toggle fullscreen mode, the shortcut works in unity 2D, but not unity 3D. The same shortcut can be modified with compiz extras, and the result is the same.
Why is this, is it normal, and how to go to fullscreen mode in unity 3D ?
I am using ubuntu 12.04 and in my work we connect to a citrix XenDesktop.
I've installed Citrix Reciever, using this link
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/CitrixICAClientHowTo
and it all works perfectly.
but..
OpenSuse 11.3 with nVidia drivers.
I have the screen working fine though it only runs in 1600x1200@75 using the nVidia driver (GTX260 card).
When I play a game in full screen mode all seems OK but when I exit the game then I just get the mouse pointer on a black screen.
Mark Shuttleworth, the founder of Ubuntu just announced Unity and Ubuntu Light, a new shell for netbooks.
Unity is a lightweight netbook interface. It is aimed at full screen applications, wanted to be surfing the web in under 10 seconds, and giving people a fantastic web experience with limited usage model to a full desktop.
I'm not sure if anyone has the same problem. It can be a problem of my own system, as I didn't find any signs of it in Google, that's why I'm not sure if it's worth a bug report.
