I installed Ubuntu on 1015-CX netbook by Asus but it lags like hell. I saw a video of Ubuntu here http://www.ubuntu.com/phone in which the CEO says that Asus is shipping with Ubuntu. If its supported then why its lagging on my netbook ? I had very high hopes to use Ubuntu out of the box on my netbook but all went in vain. :(
I'm new to Linux and I'm trying to use Ubuntu (11.10) on my Netbook (Asus Eeepc 1015) trough USB boot, but my keyboard layout is all messed up.
It's like the "o" key is 6, the "k" is 2 and go on.
I've searched on the keyboard layout settings for a proper layout, but no luck.
Is it a prob from booting from USB or there is a drive download or something to fix that?

I have an Asus AMD 64bit laptop with dual boot win7 / fedora 19.
This is a recent reinstall of win7 from backup disks and grub/f19 added to that.
A week or so after f19 install I made it to a library to do win7 and Asus updates.
Most of the hardware on the EeePC 1001HA works out-of-the box with Ubuntu Karmic Koala 9.10, Linux Mint 8-9. Touchpad, sound card, webcam and most Fn keys work by default. No problem with usb pendrive or external Hard Disk, suspend and hibernate, Compiz...
I'm trying to install Fedora 19 on a UEFI computer. The laptop is an ASUS Q500A with Aptio UEFI (firmware or BIOS) version 208, GOP 22.214.171.1245 (Aptio is American Megatrends). I downloaded the latest ISO from Fedora's site named Fedora-Live-Desktop-x86_64-19-1.
I cannot get the laptop to recognize the Fedora Live CD (DVD actually) as a boot device.
