Hi All!
I've changed my monitor from a 19" 4:3 to a 22" 16:9. This one can be used with 1920x1080 resolution that we have tested on an OpenSuse 11.1 and a Windows 7 machine. Now I'd like to connect it to my 11.3 box.
But under 11.3 it is not possible or I do not know how to change to a widescreen resolution. Not 1920x1080 but any.
I tried to start my nvidia driver using nvidia-xconfig and now my screen resolution is stuck to 640x480. That is the only option displayed in System Settings -> Display. My default resolution was 1366x768.
currently, I have a lubuntu laptop with nvidia driver installed.
I'm trying to extend my display, but (after a couple of reboots) all I can see on the other display is a big X whenever I move my cursor to that display.
below is my xorg.conf file:
# nvidia-xconfig: X configuration file generated by nvidia-xconfig
# nvidia-xconfig: version 295.49 (buildmeister@swio-display-x86-rhel47-07.nvidia.
I have this new asus laptop with Nvidia Geforce GTX 260M gpu. My problem is the refresh rate is low with ubuntu 9.04 and 9.10 beta even though I have installed the latest driver from nvidia web site.

I just did a fresh install of Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and installed the nvidia drivers from their website (304.60 Latest Long Lived Branch).
They are just not working.
Hi,
Have a Dell Latitude E6500 with nvdia Quadro NVS 160M video card. The resolution is set at 1920x1200 which makes things quite small on a 15 inch screen.
