I have an AMD Radeon 6850 in my set up which is connected to my monitor via an hdmi cable. After installing the latest fglrx drivers, version 12.6, I need to drag the overscan slider all the way to the right to make the desktop properly fit my monitor. But now after every reboot the overscan image is very small and there is about a 2 inch large border around my display.
I have this overscan problem as well.My configuration: main monitor DELL 1920x1200, second monitor - Panasonic Viera S1 TV connected via HDMI. Videocard - NVidia GeForce 210. I tried both nouveau and proprietary video drivers.
Hi,
First of all ,I know this is about the binary driver so it's not supported. I am just asking for your experience with it maybe someone can help me.
I am running Ubuntu 12.04 with the latest ATI drivers installed. I have the catalyst option but I am unable to set overscan.
My default resolution is 1920*1080 on 15inch display. I want to set it to a lower resolution.
I'm using a Multiscreen setup, one connected through hdmi, the other through dvi. Main monitor is running 1680x1050, secondary 1360x768
I've installed the ati drivers, and from there enabled Xinerama.
If I maximize a flash video, it maximizes on the secondary screen, and in the wrong resolution, making me unable to watch in full screen. >:(
Hi,
I have a problem running applications in full screen on my second monitor, it goes to full screen, but not entirely, it leaves a space of like 20-50 pixels at the top.
Note, I'm not able to screenshot it, if that helps.
I have the ati drivers installed, screen is set to 1360*768 (preferred)
hello all,
im trying to get my matrox graphics card to work with debian lenny,
ive already installed the compiz packages and have xserver-xorg-mga display driver.
however, when i try compiz --replace, i get the following error
Code:
Checking for Xgl: not present.
No whitelisted driver found
my xorg.conf looks like this currently
My Wacom Bamboo Tablet stopped working on Ubuntu today. Neither the pen nor the mouse works, and the light is on, so it's not a hardware problem. It's worked perfectly fine up to this point.
I have the linuxwacom xorg drivers and wacom-tools installed. I've done searches and found this same problem many times, but none of the solutions worked for me.
I wanted to replace the old driver that comes from the "Additional Drivers" window with the newest ATI Catalyst driver. I tried installing Catalyst, but it said I had to remove the old driver, so i did. I tried again, but it still said the old driver was still installed, so i figured a reboot might solve the problem. Now I can't boot back up. I can't even get to the purple screen.
