I have an AVerMedia 777 (a16a-c) card, working with Ubuntu and video4linux, but on TVTime and other v4l programs, the input Tuner (with any channel) outputs the composite line and the Composite outputs a white and black fuzz produced by an untuned TV.
I cannot switch channel on the input Composite, how can I switch these over?

Hi,I have an old Hauppauge WinTV USB (audio/video capture device) that I'm trying to use to capture some footage (composite connection, not tuner). I've tried various CLI and GUI software and I've had most luck with VLC; I can capture video but not sound.
Hi I'm running on UBUNTU STUDIO version 12.04 with two sound cards and I want Pulseaudio to run on the 7.1ch sound card and Jack to run on the on board sound card so I can have four inputs to route to Ardour in order to record four tracks at the same time. How should I do this?
Hi,
I'm looking for an (Ubuntu/Alsa compatible, obviously) USB sound card.
Aside from being cheap (under £100/$150) and low-latency (not usually a problem with a well-setup Alsa installation, anyway), I *really* need multi-channel line-in.
I've been scratching my head for some time here, initially the problem was trying to get Diseq to stick for LNB's. I'm using a TBS 6981 Dual card, and could get LNB for one tuner, but not the other. After some trial and error, I discovered that my other tuner card (Hauppauge Dual Nova T) could have an LNB assigned to it!
I have a Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi HD USB sound card. Seems to work out of the box when I plug it in, using snd_usb_audio module. When I start alsamixer, in the Playback view it shows two controls: PCM, and PCM Capture Source which allows me to switch between Mic, Line and Phono, three different inputs on the card.
I've been looking around for something like this for a while, and now that more 4G phones are starting to roll out and my contract is up, its time to make a move.
6 months ago I put a Pioneer 4200DVD into my car...we make tons of long road trips, so I wanted something that we could watch movies on during those trips.
How do i set up pulseaudio for a two User Multi-Seat setup on Ubuntu 10.04LTS?
I have a HDA Intel device. I was wondering if it were possible to use the separate sound outputs to different seats. I have four outputs and two inputs; microphone and line-in. Is it possible to use this one Device or do I have to get a Separate sound card?
I have an athlon II 3 core system which has a built nvidia 7025 video. The video capture card is a hauppauge hvr-1600 (cx18). I have installed mythbuntu 11.10 64bit and brought all the packages up to date. The nvidia driver is 173 and it is activated and in use.
I stepped thru the process of setting up mythbuntu backend with the video card of type IVTV Mpeg-2 encoder card.
