I turn on Bluetooth on both my devices and open up Music on my Android. I select a song to play, press the menu button, and tap "Via Bluetooth":
I tap on my computer in the "Bluetooth Device Picker":
Then it says, under the name of my computer:
Connected to media audio
Now I should technically be able to play music through my computer, since it "Just Worked" in Kubuntu with Blueman.
I use Logitech wireless speaker adapter in ubuntu 11.1. It's connected and plays my music properly, but sometimes (very often) it gets out of sync. In this case, some part of music is just lost. It works perfectly in windows 7 or ubuntu 10.
I just purchased a Logitech Bluetooth Wireless Speaker to use in my kitchen. When I attempt to pair with it in ubuntu 12.10 it seems to insist on a passkey- this device doesn't have a passkey. I can't seem to get my audio to synch with it- for that matter I can't seem to even pair with a device that doesn't ask for a passkey.
Is there a way to use the notebook as speaker for my smartphone? I linked them via Bluetooth and saw that the smartphone can be used as an input-Device for music and sound.
You can see it here:
My smartphone says that the laptop is linked as an Audio-System. If i play some music on the smartphone, it is recognized by the audio manager.
I have a current working setup of mpd -> alsa on ubuntu server 11.10.
I now have an usb<>bluetooth adapter, with which i can see the to-be-paired device (logitech adapter) with hcitool scan.
So far I haven't been able to pair/connect to the device from ubuntu server.
Hello, can anyone recommend me a bluetooth headset that can be used to stream music to and can also be used on the PS3 as a standard headset?
Looking around it seems some bluetooth headsets you can play music through and some you can't, but I have no idea what determines if you can or not.
I am a new convert to Android from iPhone and I've started off with a Nexus 4. I have what is probably an obvious question:
When I use a bluetooth audio stereo headset to listen to music, if I press the play/pause button before I go into any app, music from my device starts playing (from the first alphabetically listed track).
I have my laptop running Ubuntu 10.04 LTS connected via builtin wifi. I bought a USB bluetooth adaptor and reroute the audio to a bluetooth receiver for my computer speakers. But when I play streaming music from Youtube or Pandora, the bluetooth degrades the wifi bandwidth so much that streaming is impossible due to constant pausing to buffer the audio.
I recently installed an Alpine CDE 133BT deck into my car so that I could stream music over bluetooth and charge my phone via the USB port on the front of the deck.
