Hello Everybody,
I have Ubuntu 9.10 installed on my laptop. And I am
trying to connect to the interneet.
I attached the network cable to my laptop and
it recognizes the network.
But when I go to:
"VPN Connectios ==> Configure VPN"
a window appears and in that window at "VPN"
Hello All.
I got a simple question, but Google has not assisted me in this query.
I am using "if" to force a word under the condition that the first letter of that word must be a letter of the alphabet, regardless of capitalization, using the " "" = "" " syntax.
Like so:
I am trying to use "hexdump" on the files in the /dev/ directory. This is ubuntu 9.10.
There is some more in this forum:

I need to watch my office for protection purposes. My work machine has, obviously, slack 64 13 stable. I would like to put 2 cameras on it and make recordings in my HD (not just to watch, but also to record). Anyone with any experience in security cameras and Slack? I must avoid those "windows" webcams that are a pain to configure. I don't need to broadcast images to the net.
I've got used to hearing a resounding calm down-type reaction from posts like this, so I'm assuming I'll get more of the same... :newbie:
Having seen many app's appear in the Processes tab and only noticing them as either Running or Sleeping; I was a little alarmed to find one ("manpath") with Zombie status earlier today...
I am getting a new hard drive at work where I'm currently running Ubuntu 9.04:
ELF 32-bit LSB shared object, Intel 80386, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked (uses shared libs), for GNU/Linux 2.6.8, stripped.

"With Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid Lynx) so far our first impressions aren't good. 10.04 booted to the "Install" prompt from a LiveCD in 4 minutes and 23 seconds, compared to a solid 40 seconds on Debian Squeeze ("testing" repository)"
