Hello all,
I'm having trouble finding a descent tv card that just works. It needs to be a usb device because I'm building a touchscreen PC for the kitchen of a customer. The pc itself is a tiny fitpc2 (might become a shuttle x27D if needed), so the TV card needs to be usb2.
I hate throwing in the white towel, but I'm stuck after a few days of googling. The drivers are loaded for my video capture card, but it still isn't working: :dis: I've had this card running great 5-6 years ago in earlier Fedora releases. Trying to get it up and running again. Thanks for the help and comments.
Last week I recompiled the drivers for one of my tuner cards (in order to get the analog half of the card working) by following the steps outlined on the MythTV website for the card:
http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Hauppauge_HVR-1600#Drivers
This resulted in neither of my two tuner cards working, and I'm not sure if LIRC was working either.
I then did another recompile but this time used this
According to this, it's been supported for a while:

Has anyone gotten FM radio working over this?
On a headless box?
I am running "Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS (GNU/Linux 3.2.0-31-generic x86_64)" with the XBMC application installed, and set the system to boot into an XBMC specific desktop session on boot.
I followed the guide in their wiki to configure Wake-on-USB for the MCE Remote I have.

Everything worked fine until last night.
Netinstaller has groups, but I guess that is not really what you meant .http://chakra-project.org/wiki/index.php?title=PacmanA nice search funtion in pacman i s 'pacman -Ss partial_name'It will return a list, with a short description of any package within that search term. The Wiki has a decent listing too:http://chakra-project.org/wiki/index.php?title=Software
I installed this tuner and followed the procedures here:
http://linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/Ha...WinTV-HVR-2200
When trying to set up the tuner in MythTV backend the card was not being recognised.I was getting this output from demsg | grep saa :
Code:
paul@myth:~$ dmesg | grep saa
[ 11.677646] saa7164 driver loaded
[ 11.677684] saa7164 0000:03:00.0: PCI INT A -> GSI 17 (level, low
I've been spending all afternoon on this, searching here, there and everywhere.I've just installed a Hauppage HVR-2210 (essentially a 2200 with a remote control) PCIe DVB tuner card:http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/H … V-HVR-2200It SHOULD work on Linux / MythTV - but I can't get the drivers to compile and install using the methods in the link above (and numerous variations).
