I'm trying to setup hibernate on my new rig, and I've gotten tuxonice working a few times, but then I had a failed hibernate, and sense then, I can't resume from a hibernate. TuxOnIce has the loading bar, and the text interface, and successfully brings the computer into hibernate. However when resuming from hibernate, the screen stays black, then displays random pixels everywhere, and hangs.
I've been using tuxonice successfully for the past several months. However, the last two days I have not been able to resume under a specific set of circumstances (under which I previously had no problem). Yesterday I just had a black screen (perhaps with a mouse cursor) - I attempted to just type my password and see if it would log in, but that didn't work.
TuxOnIce hibernation works on my machine, BUT during resume it stops for about a minute whilst doing nothing. I would like to remove this delay but I don't know what's the source of it.Here are the logs: http://pastebin.com/5d9EaK4UAnd here the config files: http://pastebin.com/6NKQBWud

I've installed FC11 on an HP 6715b laptop, fresh install on second partition of hdd dual booting with XP.
During and since the install, the laptop "pauses" with no disk activity until I move the mouse cursor using the touchpad, then everything continues as normal. The pauses happen at random and disk activity recommences as soon as I touch the pad.
I'm on Arch and I have a strange issue with systemctl hibernate command. It hibernates and resumes just fine (I have TuxOnIce), but in the last stage of resume, it completely shuts down my laptop screen, so I cannot see anything even though I know the system resumed just fined and the desktop is running.
TuxOnIce is most easily described as the Linux equivalent of Windows' hibernate functionality, but better. It saves the contents of memory to disk and powers down. When the computer is started up again, it reloads the contents and the user can continue from where they left off.
Upon resume from hibernation, everything works fine except the screen. It either stays black, or is filled with various amount of colourful stripes.I am running Nvidia proprietary drivers (nouveau not an option due to poor power management) and TuxOnIce. Does someone know how to fix that?

hi,Getting random pauses normally 2-3 seconds in length in most applications. At first I thought it was releated to java, but noticed the pauses in Opera and kwrite. They are frequent enough at least once every 10minutes and sometimes a lot more.
