I need to connect myself (Mac OSX) through SSH on a distant server (Unix also) which has no internet access.
I would like to browse the internet on the server (updates and other stuffes), so I've made a reverse HTTP tunnel.
I've installed SquidMan on my Mac OSX laptop, as proxy server.
This is my config:
HTTP port: 8080
visible host name: localhost
This is the way I connect myself through SSH
Here's what I've got setup:
Windows Service Account with internet access
A .NET application which allows setting the proxy settings
Host
Port
Username
Password
When running this application the proxy server logs are showing that the credentials are being passed to the proxy server and the proxy server is allowing the traffic.
Hi all,
I have been using a VPN via following connection to the server:
ssh -f -C2TN -D PORT username@hostname
and have the system proxy setting configured as:
proxy server: localhost
port: PORT
This used to work for a long time until recently distributions of linux.(Because I don't like the new unity interface, I had been using a pretty old ubuntu until it is no longer supported.)
Th
I have an apache virtual host running a reverse proxy accepting connections from the servers IP. To access, I'm running an SSH tunnel from localhost -> server, and pointing my browsers proxy settings at localhost:ssh-tunnel-port.
Occasionally (I don't have benchmarks) everything running through the proxy connection is slow.
I use a Proxy Server with LDAP Authentication for accessing internet. So I need to manually add Server Address and Port in every application that has to connect to internet.
Any methods by which I dont need to enter proxy address in my applications ?
( I have entered the authentication and proxy details at : apt.conf and changed the environment variables too.
I am attempting to use nginx to create a server endpoint that can act as a dynamic proxy for an arbitrary endpoint.
The contract is:
http://{proxy-host}/p/{target-protocol}/{target-host}/{target-port}/{target-path}
For example, this url:
http://my.website.com/p/https/some.remote.api.com/8080/items
Should be proxied to:
https://some.remote.api.com:8080/items
However, I am getting a 404 No
i am trying to set all internet connections of all network PCs via proxy server that is installed on windows server 2003
i have editted proxy setting from gpo, but it only worked for internet browsers, is there way to force all applications to use that proxy (applications like chatting apps, IDM, torrent and others)
note: i am using ccproxy as a proxy server
Hello,
I'm looking for a solution to route my SSH traffic through a proxy. Here is my setup:
Laptop --> ssh traffic --> remote ssh server (owned by me) --> privoxy (socks5) --> TOR.
As you can see, my main goal is this. I want to ssh into my remote server, and then all the outbound webtraffic generated on the remote server must go via TOR.
I have a Dell PowerEdge Server and I want to make it into a whole site (location) proxy server so if anyone in the building uses our internet connection, they will have to go through this proxy to get out. I want to be able to block certain internet sites as well as monitor unproductive internet usage.
