I'm trying to install Ubuntu Studio 12.04.1 (not 12.04) and also Xubuntu 12.04.1 using an USB flash drive but when I boot I always get the following error:
invalid or corrupt image
I already tried all solutions such as checking MD5, redownloading both ISOs, changing "isolinux" to "syslinux", etc.
I've just finished assembling my PC and I'm trying to install Ubuntu on it (there is no operating system on this machine). I downloaded Unetbootin on my Mac, downloaded the .iso image, and ran Unetbootin to put it on my flash drive.
Hello,
I am trying to install Ubuntu from a bootable USB stick. However, it seems that it is written corrupted on the USB. I have tried both the ubuntu-12.10-desktop-i386 and the ubuntu-12.04.1-desktop-i386 ISO files. I have tried Universal-USB-Installer-1.9.1.5, YUMI-0.0.7.9 and the latest version of LiLi.

Hello!
I recently installed BackTrack 5 R3 (32bit) to my 16GB USB Flash drive using latest Unetbootin (formatted to FAT32). It works fine on my laptop in which I created it but when I try to boot my desktop computer (its kinda old but it does have USB-boot support) with it, I only get this:
Code:

Can someone help me?
I recently acquired a Dell Latitude D630 and I've been trying to install the 64-bit Version of 12.04.
I'm using a USB flash drive with YUMI placed on the flash drive. The computer wont load into the 64-bit installer.
I ran diagnostics on the system, the hardware is in perfect condition, but the system just wont let it boot.
Any Suggestions?
This was an official 64-bit download from the Ubuntu site, so it's kind of sad to see even that's not working.
I made a bootable Ubuntu 12.10 USB stick with USB Image Writer (mintstick) on Linux Mint 14 Cinnamon and then shut down after ejecting the drive.
dI wanted to use and try Ubuntu from a USB flash drive so I used the Universal USB installer from PenDriveLinux. I selected ubuntu-12.04.1-alternate-amd64.iso since I have a 64bit processor on an HP 2760p. I saw no other 64 bit choices. When I booted from the USB drive, the only alternatives pertaining to running the OS were "Install" and "Rescue ...".
