I have a USB N13 wireless Adapter with install CD-- For Windows. I downloaded drivers from ASUS FOR N13 for Linux. Disregard install CD that came with adapter; it's for Windows. I then downloaded Windows Wireless driver install program app. from Software Center in Ubuntu12.10..

I bought the above adapter as it was sold as being recognised out of the box (nope)
Comes with clear installation instructions that didn't work, given in a powerpoint file and separately as a text file with the driver.
I am trying to connect my desktop to a wireless network. I have purchased an ASUS USB-N13 B1 adapter. I have followed instructions for installing drivers and disabling conflicting drivers. I have thoroughly searched and could not find a solution. The adapter is recognized and powered on. I have entered the ssid and password information into the wireless network configuration.
Recently I purchased for few bucks on eBay a wireless network adapter with name "EDUP 802.11N". This topic explains how to setup this device on Ubuntu.
I purchased USB Wireless adapter which runs smoothly on Windows and Ubuntu, but in BackTrack it showing me Bad password issue. From my reading I guess it's driver issue which BackTrack Kernel don't have drivers for RTL8191SU (my) Adapter.
The Realtek site have drivers for kernels 2.6-2.9.
Title pretty much says it all. I am running Ubuntu 12.10 and I have been unable to find a compiled version of the drivers and have been attempting to work with the one I got off the asus website.
I'm having trouble trying to install a ASUS USB-N13 Wireless-N adapter. Its marketed as linux compatible wireless adapter, but I cant seem to get it working. I have searched these boards looking for a solution, but cant make much sense of any of it.
If anyone knows how to set this up it would be greatly appreciated.
