My wifi seems to keep messing up it keeps searching for a connection even though it is connected? Anyone have any idea how I get it to stop when it searches it won't use the wifi its connected to.
Auto WiFi 3G will check every defined time for known wifi connection by turning on wifi, if it finds a known wifi it will turn off 3G (Also the antenna).
In case you are already connected to wifi and you loose the connection it will turn on 3G and turns off WiFi (Also the antenna).
WiFi in most cases is faster and consumes less battery.
I just begin using Tasker. My first profile is to, after bootup, wait 4 minutes then run app A, this one works fine. But I have trouble with my second profile:
it will run app B when wifi connected(no specific SSID or MAC,etc.), and as an Exit task, kill that app with taskkill plugin, if wifi disconnected.
It started yesterday. Since then I've tried several backups on a couple different roms, same result. I can connect to my wifi, or at least the phone says I am connected, but no data transfers. I can switch to 3g and I get data normally. I switched to wifi, let it connect, and I get nothing but connection and server errors.
I am having the weirdest problem... I have a work laptop (running Fedora 16) that has connected to my works wifi and ethernet without any problems. I have also connected to the wifi at my girlfriends place without problems. Right now I am at my place and at a total loss for words. I have connected to my home network via wifi and Ethernet... (obviously not both at once).
So I'm currently running Xenon 1.5 (4.2.1) paired with Lean Kernel 5.6, but this is an issues I've had on all 4.2.1 ROMs that I've tried. It seems as though my phone doesn't want to stay connected to WiFi even though it has a strong connection.
I got !y daughter a nabi2. When u first turn it on it gets you to setup our WiFi which we did and tapped continue as it says "connected". However the WiFi icon is gray not blue/white which would mean connected. Sure enough when the next screen needs to continue to register nabi account it says "check WiFi connection not connected to internet".
It must be a dumb statement - a mobile that is connected to the internet via wifi cannot be a hot spot; only mobile connected with data connection can do it. Just want a confirmation from gurus for a peace of mind.
I have iMac in company connected both lan and wifi, where wifi is for public network & lan is private.
is there any configuration to connect both wifi and lan and setup always use wifi, but make exceptions to some server use lan (e.g. svn, intranet)?
For now, i can just make wifi with higher priority and disable wifi if i need to connect svn.
