Trouble Replacing RAID-1 disk

http://forums.fedoraforum.org – I have Fedora 16 installed on my desktop system. /boot and / are on a SSD. This is working fine. Swap, /var/ /temp and /home are on a RAID-1 consisting of two 500 GB disks. Formerly, both drives were the exact same model (ST3500410AS). One of the drives began reporting SMART errors and eventually failed. I purchased a similar-model Seagate drive, ST500MD002-1BD14. I removed the failed drive and put in the new one. (I did not take any steps to remove the old drive from the RAID in the logical sense.) There was an partition of unknown type on the new drive; I removed it. Thi (HowTos)
