Installed Fedora 16 x86_64 LXDE a few months ago.
Before installation I resized my C:-partition from inside of Windows so I could get some free space to install Fedora on (so I would be able to dual-boot with Fedora and Windows Vista). The installation went fine and Fedora is usable and all BUT I am not able to boot Windows Vista anymore!
Hi
I got an acer aspire 4310 with vista pre installed.
I installed fedora 10 on the D:/ drive by setting the D:// drive as free space within vista and then installed fedora 10. So now I have dual boot vista and fedora using grub.
How can I delete vista and install Fedora 12 on that C:// partition and be able to keep and boot my fedora 10.
I installed fedora 12 as second os along with ulimtate vista on 64 bit machine.
i was able finish the install and boot to fedora first time. but after updating the software , i am unable to boot into fedora but am able to boot in to vista.
Hi guys,
I have a dual-boot machine, with Vista and Fedora 11, which is working great. I use GRUB as the boot manager, as Fedora was installed after Vista. So far, so good..
Okay, here is the deal. I installed Ubuntu 11.10 in October or so, so that it would dual boot on my laptop along with Windows Vista. I haven't had any problems with the set up since then. It would boot using the Windows boot loader which I noted was different from my desktop which would use Grub.
Hello,
Allright guys, I am a linux noobie, I have messed with it some (backtrack) but I don't know a whole lot. I am going to networking security, and I am in a linux class now. We are using fedora. On my laptop, I want to triple boot. Right now I have just 1 partition, with windows 7 ultimate x64 installed.
I am wanting to triple boot windows 7, windows xp x64, and fedora 12 x64.
I have a computer with windows 7, windows xp, and ubuntu. The problem is I can't boot xp. Whenever I try, I get a black screen. I would like to be able to boot from xp, 7, or ubuntu from grub
Here is what I have done:
1) Installed XP
2) Used gparted to shrink xp partition and installed ubuntu
3) Used gparted to shirnk xp partition and installed windows 7
I have Vista on the first disk drive. I use the second drive for Fedora. The automated update destroyed my Fedora 10 installation while trying to update to Fedora 12 - possibly because of GRUB issues. Now I am trying to install Fedcora 12 from the x86_64 ISO.
