I currently have a galaxy nexus rooted with AOKP and franco kernel. I would like to use the tethering feature, but from everything I read it is 1) not easily possible and 2) not a good idea.
I would like to keep my phone rooted, but pay the $30 fee to use verizons hotspot. The only problem is that there are no verizon apps installed on my rooted phone.
Hi Guys
First time writing here, hope to finde a soluttion.
Hi!
i own a samsung galaxy nexus verizon phone and i unlocked and rooted the phone. My question is how do i get a signal? Is it possible to buy a verizon lte sim off ebay and pop one in, and expect a signal? I was hoping to use this phone as a 3g with pageplus, but I'm not sure how to go about this. Im not a verizon customer, i didn't realize these 4g phones are this complicated!!
Hello Guru's,
I just bought the Galaxy Nexus from someone who was on Verizon Network.
I saw that it uses micro sim card, so thought this would work with at&t.
I unlocked the phone and rooted it too. But still the att sim card does not work on this phone..
Are there two kinds of Galaxy Nexus? Once for CDMA/LTE and other for GSM?
Thanks in Advance
Need help. I rooted my Sprint Galaxy S3, this being my first time, and everything went as it was suppose to. I have the SU icon but it wont update and all rooted apps i try say my phone is not rooted. What do I need to do?
Total noob here.I have a Galaxy Nexus S GSM phone running ICS.I do not know the exact model I have I suspect I am having the M200 variant. The guy who sold it to me in all probability rooted it to install ICS.I want to install Jelly Bean on it.My questions are(Please forgive the wall of text, I wanted to be as elaborate as possible)
1) How can I know if my phone has been rooted ?
So I am getting an upgrade in about two months (Galaxy SIV, drooling already ;)) from my HTC Thunderbolt. I had rooted this a while ago with Revolutionary, and I have now successfully unrooted it with full S-ON, etc.
My question is basically whether or not Verizon can tell (or if they care considering it is completely stock *technically*) whether or not it was rooted.
I have a noobie question just rooted and unlocked today. Can I flash the lean kernel without flashing a ROM? I am just looking for improved battery life. I have Verizon galaxy nexus, rooted, 4.1.1 . And if I don't like it do I have to flash my nandroid backup to get back to my original kernel? Thanks
I was new to this when I rooted. After the OTA I read about blocking it but it was too late by then. I already was unrooted and not able yo get back to any of my backups made in CWM prior to the OTA from verizon. No key combination will get me to either Download Mode, or CWM after OTA.
