Following this, this happened, and I have had no luck trying to get my networking working again. Pretty much all the info I have is in that second link.
When I type sudo service networking restart, I am getting error as shown below:
edward@computer:~$ sudo service networking restart
stop: Job failed while stopping
start: Job is already running: networking
Got this error when I wanted to restart networking after changing mac address and also after setting static IP in /etc/network/interfaces file.
So everything in Ubuntu has been working great until networking stopped working. I've spent the better part of two days scouring for a fix with no luck. Here is my info...your help would so be appreciated.
