Electronics mega-retailer Best Buy will carry the Toshiba Thrive Android tablet at its online and brick-and-mortar stores this weekend. "I can confirm that we're going to have in-store availability starting July 10," Best Buy spokesperson Jeremy Baier told TechNewsWorld. The Thrive runs Android 3.1 Honeycomb and is offered in three models, with 8GB, 16GB and 32GB of storage.

Toshiba has announced that its 10.1-inch, Tegra 2-based Thrive tablet will ship with Android 3.1 on July 10, starting at $429. Meanwhile, Samsung's Galaxy Tab 10.1 will ship on Verizon and T-Mobile with Android 3.1 on June 8, according to reports -- although another rumor claims the Samsung launch will be delayed due to bugs....
Toshiba began selling its long-awaited 10.1-inch tablet in 8GB ($430), 16GB ($480) and 32GB ($580) Wi-Fi only versions. The Android 3.1-powered Toshiba Thrive is thick and heavy, but its Tegra 2 processor, 1280 x 800 display, and full-size HDMI, USB 2.0, and SD connections go a long way toward compensating, says one review....
The original Toshiba Thrive 10-inch tablet was expected to get an update to Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich sometime this fall, but a tasty surprise showed up today for Thrive owners. A post on Toshiba’s Thrive forums confirms that ICS is indeed now rolling out, significantly ahead of schedule.
Has anyone else noticed recently that on Toshiba.com they no longer show the Thrive in the tablet section along with some of the older Excite models too? All that comes up now is the 16GB and 32GB Excite SE, even when you search in the search bar. I'm thinking Toshiba may no longer support the Thrive and we may not get Jelly Bean, I may be wrong.

What’s 7-inches and packed with electrons? Well, any 7-inch tablet already out there, but there aren’t too many in stores as yet with Honeycomb Android OS 3.2, so can Toshiba’s new 7-inch tablet… thrive?
Toshiba's Thrive is a decent, if unspectacular, entry to the trundling Android & Honeycomb& tablet market, according to this eWEEK review. However, the availability of multiple ports will please enterprise users, who might also like the removable battery better than did author Clint Boulton....
