Toshiba is upping the anti for tablets in 2012 after the lack of success from the Thrive lineup. These newer versions are thinner, sport a better design, and feature more horsepower. We recently reviewed the Excite 10 LE, which didn’t quite impress us, but Toshiba has three newer tabs from Excite line: the Excite 7.7, Excite 10, and Excite 13.
The world of Android tablets gets bigger and bigger each day, and so far no one has stood out in the crowd. Toshiba has been a solid player in the laptop/notebook side, and they would really like to kick things into gear with tablets. Last year’s Thrive line didn’t impress much and this year, they’re hoping people will be excited (no pun intended) for the Excite line.
This is a work in progress and, as such, if you feel that there is anything that needs adding, please PM a guide or start a thread in Private Chat With Staff with your suggestions.

The Excite 10 SE is the newest addition to the Toshiba Excite tablet lineup. The 10.1-inch tablet is a little late for black Friday but will be offered at the hard-to-pass-up price of $349.99 and will be released, on December 6th, in plenty of time to make it under a few trees. The sales pitch is simple: low price + quad-core Tegra 3 processor and Jelly Bean (Android 4.1).
Skinny is in this season, and Toshiba is bringing it with the world’s thinnest and lightest 10-inch tablet. It’s only 0.3 inches thick and weighs 1.18 pounds. This magnesium alloy cased tablet, with a 1.2GHz processor, can be yours in the US on March 6. It will set you back $529.99 for the 16 GB version, and $599.99 for the 32 GB version.
Has anyone else noticed recently that on Toshiba.com they no longer show the Thrive in the tablet section along with some of the older Excite models too? All that comes up now is the 16GB and 32GB Excite SE, even when you search in the search bar. I'm thinking Toshiba may no longer support the Thrive and we may not get Jelly Bean, I may be wrong.
If you’ve been salivating over Toshiba’s latest and greates, the ever so thin Exite 10 Tab, then we’ve spotted a deal for you. The WiFi only version and 16GB’s of on-board storage is going for $449.99 right now over at Amazon.

The original Toshiba Thrive 10-inch tablet was expected to get an update to Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich sometime this fall, but a tasty surprise showed up today for Thrive owners. A post on Toshiba’s Thrive forums confirms that ICS is indeed now rolling out, significantly ahead of schedule.
