People new to Linux tend to react to any reference of the Linux shell terminal with fright. But there is nothing scary about our beloved shell terminal, or what we most commonly call the command-line interface (CLI) or simple the command-line. It is a very powerful place to interact with Linux. Every operating system has its own “command-line,” including Windows.
Eric Smith's proposal:
The Gnome 3 interface is substantially different that the traditional desktop interfaces on both Linux and Windows. While it is good that there is research into new user interface concepts, many users prefer to have a traditional interface that they are accustomed to.
I am a fan of the nice end-user interface of HFS. And, while it will run under Wine, it requires a graphical user interface which my debian server does not have.
I'd like to run something to give a similar interface from the command-line. I'm willing to install an entirely new program to do this.

For expert users of Linux and other UNIX-like operating systems, the command line is where the action is. We (they) claim that stuff gets done faster and easier on the command line than pointing and clicking on a fancy graphical interface. While that may, to a very large extend, be true, the command line can [...]
Is there a graphical user interface to verify gpg signatures? I got a file and a file.sig. It's clear how to do it in terminal but doing with a right click gui would be more comfortable.
I read it's possible with kgpg but I couldn't get it to work.
