If I run top while avconv is converting a video, it shows avconv using 180-190 %CPU.
This can't be right, can it? Does the % mean something other than percentage?

Eveything is ok on my PC, but when I open this video on iphone I see only black screen. I try to "convert"(by AVS Video Converter) it from MJPEG to MJPEG using all parametrs like in input file and iphone play it normally.
I was wondering if it's possible to get the percentage of difference between a video and an static image using avconv (from libav)
I have a surveillance camera constantly providing an RTSP video feed. The camera is statically pointing to the floor. I know how the picture looks like when everything is ok (I have an screenshot of it).
This might just be a quick question or a matter of a specific flag, but I have a standard format that I use for storing videos on my computer. The idea is to cut down on storage requirements while keeping the videos in a watchable quality. So for example I set the bitrate of the audio to be 192k and the resolution to be 1136x640.
